VP Engineering OFDM LTE High Power AmplifierThe candidate needed to have a track record in delivering roadmaps, specifications, and high power amplifier and RFIC components viable for 4G and LTE base stations.  The client had a manufacturing team in China and wanted to build on the team based in Silicon Valley.  The ideal VP Engineering candidate needed a PhD in Systems Engineering with a solid business head and negotiating skills, as well as experience with investor roadshows.

NextGen GES identified several HPA vendor competitors but the VP Engineering candidates also needed handset and MNO work experience, as well as start-up  accomplishments.  That narrowed the search very quickly and after interviewing dozens of candidates, we identified four potentials on the short list presented to the client.

After drilling down to two finalists for the VP Engineering role, the client brought both candidates in for 2 rounds of face-to-face interviews.
