The search for Southwing, an EU based vendor providing Bluetooth headsets and intelligent voice activated service platforms that increase mobile carriers’ ARPU, was to recruit an entrepreneurial CTO who could extend the product line in Bluetooth and add wVoIP products and services to the product portfolio.

The search strategy we developed was to identify current CTO or SVP Engineering candidates who had a successful track record in developing product roadmaps and had taken to fill production and to market.    The CTO would be managing a team of R&D engineers in Barcelona as well as the manufacturing engineering group in Shenzhen, China.  Within one week’s time, we identified the perfect candidate who was open to relocate, had several patents in mobile devices under his belt, and had name recognition -  important for further VC investments.
